Henrik Vibskov Autumn/Winter 2010
If you’ve been following The London style Journal over the last couple of weeks, you will have read of my yearning to indulge in some Winter fashion. You can understand why I was excited about Henrik Vibskov’s Autumn/winter collection. Vibskov is known for his adventurous prints and innovative take on tailoring.
I first became interested In Henrik’s designs when I fell in love a cardigan from the autumn/winter 2008 collection, being initially attracted to its magnificent voodoo inspired prints.
Henrik Vibskov’s Autumn/winter 2010 collection is an eclectic set of wearable knitwear, providing a paradox to the wave of men’s tailoring we are seeing left, right and centre. Highlights for me are the classic cardigans made from gloriously fluffy wool, and have gorgeously distinctive brown buttons.
A lot of the knitwear could easily be worn alongside the current preppy 50’s styles which are on trend currently. Henrik Vibskov is a great all round brand, stocking some practical trenches in the collection as well. As you know, we’re not ones to splash the cash, so I might have to do a bit of saving before I can invest in my fluffy fancy. In the meantime, I’ll be scouting around the ever realible Beyond Retro, Cheshire Street this weekend, on the hunt for an interim piece.
