Heaven
‘I'm really enjoying what I'm quite lucky that I am creatively driven, and am always spending my time satisfying my creative itch. I'm mostly inspired by the fabrics I use and try to do some rummaging in fabric shops every time I'm in London (Cambridge is not so well - equipped in the haberdashery area). Once I build up my stock again (which I work on daily!).’
After a wealth of positive peer feedback Esme is now branching out into the world of online, recently opening her first Etsy shop. Davies’ long-term aim is to have her own pretty, dreamy and character filled boutique, which sells handcrafted and precious items that have been sourced by herself.
‘I’m starting at the bottom, but the dream is alive’.

You just know we love one-offs and niche pieces, so its not totally surprising that we love the loving crafted pieces made by our good friend Esme Davies, with her label, Septfeuilles.
Esmé Davies is a Fashion and Accessories Designer who is riding the creative and challenging wave of self-employment.
After an intensive 4 year degree, and a couple of commuting induced miserable years at a small manufacturing company, she decided to give up shop and pursue other, more fulfilling projects, and to develop a beacon of a port-folio.
‘I decided to start playing with fabric and initially made floral fabric hair accessories for my friends and family. They seemed to be popular so I spent a while madly hand stitching and built up a little stock, which I took round to winter fairs and Craft Markets in Cambridge. I sell each accessory (be it a brooch, hair clip or multiple clips) for fair prices, with my motivations only being to covers my time and materials.’
Each one of Septfeuilles hair accessories is constructed with the principal of combining 7, 14 or 21 petals (for luck!) and are sewn by hand.
